The Quilt Album Story

My dad originally wrote Quilt Album to document my mom’s quilts. Their close friends, Laura Fiedler and her husband, Jim, were part of the same quilting circle and dear friends of my parents. The four of them decided to form a small company and bring Quilt Album to the quilting community.

I’m Monica, Barbara and Stuart Lynn’s daughter, and sewing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

When Mom became ill, Dad suddenly had far more on his shoulders than any one person should. Maintaining a software application became impossible, so he and Jim chose to make Quilt Album free to everyone, with the understanding that they could no longer provide support.

We lost Mom to cancer in 2021, and Jim to the same disease in 2024.

I inherited Mom’s passion for quilting, though not her legendary organizational skills. For years, I wished Quilt Album could evolve into something that helped me manage my quilting life more intuitively. Retirement finally gave me the space to pursue that dream. With the blessing of Dad and Laura, my husband and I have spent the past months joyfully rebuilding and modernizing Quilt Album.

Our hope is simple: that you find it genuinely useful, supportive, and a pleasure to use.

This application is dedicated to Barbara and Stuart Lynn, and Laura and Jim Fiedler - four friends whose creativity, generosity, and love built the foundation we stand on today.
