The QuiltAlbum Story

Over a cup of coffee that was a reward for a grueling morning bike ride, my Dad, Stuart Lynn, and close friend, Jim Fiedler, conceived of  QuiltAlbum as a tool for their quilting wives - Barbara (my Mom) and Laura - to create a documentary record of their quilts. My Dad developed the original version just for Mom’s and Laura'a use. Mom and Laura loved it, so the four of them decided to form a small company to bring QuiltAlbum to the broader quilting community.

We lost Mom to cancer in 2021, and Jim to the same disease in 2024.

I inherited Mom’s passion for quilting, though not her legendary organizational skills. For years, I wished QuiltAlbum could evolve into something that helped me manage my quilting life more intuitively.

The original Quilt Album-ers. From left to right: Stuart and Barbara Lynn, Jim and Laura Fiedler.

Retirement finally gave me the space to pursue that dream. With the blessing of Dad and Laura, my husband, Jay, and I have spent the past months joyfully rebuilding and modernizing QuiltAlbum.

Our hope is simple: that you find it genuinely useful, supportive, and a pleasure to use.

This application is dedicated to Barbara and Stuart Lynn, and Laura and Jim Fiedler - four friends whose creativity, generosity, and love built the foundation we stand on today.
